Royal Enfield ने भारत में नई Himalayan 440 को ₹2.29 लाख की शुरुआती ex-showroom कीमत पर लॉन्च किया है। यह नई adventure motorcycle 4 सितंबर 2026 को Ladakh में आयोजित Himalayan Basecamp event में पेश की गई, जहां कंपनी ने Himalayan नाम की 10वीं सालगिरह भी मनाई।
Himalayan 440 को Himalayan 450 के नीचे position किया गया है। इसमें original Himalayan 411 से जुड़ी सरल और मजबूत design philosophy को बरकरार रखते हुए नया 443cc engine और 6-speed gearbox दिया गया है।
443cc Engine और 25.4 bhp Power
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 में 443cc का single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled और fuel-injected engine मिलता है। यह engine 6,250 rpm पर 25.4 bhp की maximum power और 4,000 rpm पर 34 Nm का peak torque पैदा करता है।
इस engine में 81mm bore और 86mm stroke दिया गया है, जबकि compression ratio 9.5:1 है। Motorcycle में electric start, wet multi-plate clutch और 6-speed gearbox मिलता है।
यही 443cc engine Royal Enfield Scram 440 में भी इस्तेमाल किया गया है। Himalayan 440 में कंपनी ने adventure touring और low-speed torque को ध्यान में रखते हुए इसके mechanical setup को तैयार किया है।
Adventure-focused Chassis और Suspension
Himalayan 440 को half-duplex split-cradle frame पर तैयार किया गया है। इसके front में 41mm telescopic forks दिए गए हैं, जो 200mm wheel travel देते हैं। Rear में linkage-type monoshock मिलता है, जिसमें 180mm suspension travel है।
Motorcycle में 21-inch spoked front wheel और 17-inch spoked rear wheel दिए गए हैं। इसमें tube-type tyres मिलते हैं, जिनका size front में 90/90-21 और rear में 120/90-17 है।
220mm Ground Clearance और 800mm Seat Height
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 में 220mm का ground clearance दिया गया है, जो खराब और ऊबड़-खाबड़ रास्तों पर riding के लिए उपयोगी है। इसकी seat height 800mm है, जिससे इसे अलग-अलग height वाले riders के लिए संभालना आसान हो सकता है।
इस motorcycle की लंबाई 2,190mm और चौड़ाई 840mm है, जबकि wheelbase 1,460mm है। इसका kerb weight 199kg है और इसमें 15-litre का fuel tank दिया गया है।

Braking और Safety Features
Braking के लिए front में 300mm hydraulic disc brake के साथ two-piston floating caliper और rear में 240mm hydraulic disc brake के साथ single-piston caliper दिया गया है। Motorcycle में dual-channel ABS मिलता है, जबकि rear ABS को switch किया जा सकता है।
Himalayan 440 में नया LED headlight और LED tail lamp भी दिया गया है। Electrical system के लिए 12V setup और 8Ah maintenance-free battery मिलती है।
Digital-Analogue Console और Tripper Navigation
नई Himalayan 440 में digital-analogue instrument cluster के साथ Tripper navigation pod दिया गया है। लंबी यात्रा के दौरान smartphone जैसे compatible devices को charge करने के लिए Type-C USB charger भी मिलता है।
Motorcycle में standard rear rack दिया गया है, जिसकी payload capacity 10kg तक है। इससे touring और सामान ले जाने के लिहाज से motorcycle को practical बनाने की कोशिश की गई है।
तीन Colour Options में उपलब्ध
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 को तीन colour options में पेश किया गया है। इनमें Mustang Brown, Sela Black और Nelong White शामिल हैं। Motorcycle एक ही variant में उपलब्ध है और तीनों colours की शुरुआती कीमत ₹2.29 लाख ex-showroom रखी गई है।
Himalayan 440 का launch original Himalayan के 2016 में आने के 10 साल पूरे होने के मौके पर हुआ है। शुरुआती production motorcycles के fuel tank पर 10-year anniversary badge भी दिया गया है।
